Life lately... (or a miscellaneous of it) 😌

 What's better than a cold January sunday evening to pick up again writing in your beloved (and neglected lol) Blog?!

Well yes, I've been thinking about you, but never had the proper chance in terms of time and inspiration to update everyone about my life lately.

It's been more than a year since my last post and quite much happened to me in 2024.

It was a special year for me under many aspects going from my work, to my health and, OFC, my travels around the globe.

Yes, work, it was the most common Googled word in my 2024 browser history, for several reasons: 

I've been working in 3 different places as I (finally) succeeded in getting my place in the biggest hospital of my city, but started in one of its Trust's suburbs so getting back to that commuting worker life which I left in the City (London) back in 2019 with my 45 mins of the combo Metro+Walk to reach the clinic.

However it's crazy to think about the time passed already in the clinic I've been working for in Potenza, so fast that I couldn't even notice almost 2 years are gone, but as Fabrizio Romano says "Here we go" and I began driving or jumping on very early trains to reach my new job place, an hospital where I learnt many things and I am grateful for, but where I am happy I had to spend only several months in order to be assigned to my city's one, the one I've been studying in for 3 years and where I was also a patient too, where I have lot of nice and bad memories, many stories, lot of people and hopefully lot of upcoming great news.

Anyway work wasn't the only keyword of my 2024 happily. Last year I also had chance to organize some trips which took me to one of my teenager times loves, PARIS and it was, for the 2nd time after 15 years, Love at first sight.

On April I had lot of time so I took advantage to plan this trip in few days, booking flights is my specialty alongside with hotels and things to do/to see. Paris has been lovely, in all its forms, its buildings, boulevards with trees, cafes, fashion stores, perfumes, smell of cuisines, boulangeries, art is everywhere and you can breath it in every corner. I got such nostalgic after coming back that I even got back on July as layover for my Poland trip with my college mate Riccardo, who couldn't wait to discover my WorkingErasmus land passing from Gdansk to my 2nd home Warsaw. I'm still thinking when going again to the city of Love and I'm sure it won't take me too long in this rollercoaster of plans, bookings and flights.....right FLIGHTS 

It was the year I probably booked more flights ever as on December I really wanted try a new airport opened nearby in Salerno but fate didn't let me as both flights got cancelled and forced me to head and replan everything from my trustworthy Napoli base. So Here we go and Vienna was waiting for my arrival, again, after a year, but this time with its magical Christmassy atmosphere, markets everywhere, cakes, hot chocolates, people rollerblading in Rathaus under such unique and captivating views, the visit to the Mozart's house, the Belvedere palace with the famous well known Klimt's kiss....  I really enjoyed this time being around, despited the freezing cold which accompanied us during the whole holiday and knocked me to bed for a week once back home.

2024 for me meant a lot, my job, a surgery, European adventures, it all happened in the right time, in the way I was hoping for, just something is missing, but I'll keep this for myself and for this 2025 which just began, with new people along my path, which I hope gonna share with me new exciting experiences. in this endless learning process called Life.
